There are many different cases and examples of good practice in governance and decision-making, but they are currently dispersed across many different documents, websites and other media. The UGA product aims to bring these examples together and make them more accessible to users.
Governance and decision-making models are not always easily transferrable and often need to take account of local contextual issues (policy, landscape, socio-economic considerations and more). The UGA product will be used to inform the development of testing of new governance instruments, specific to INTERLACE cities, drawing upon 'real world' experience to further refine of the product.
Databases typically become out-of-date and/or difficult to find once projects come to an end. The UGA will remain as a 'living product' as part of the INTERLACE Innovation Hub, which be maintained in perpetuity as part of the Oppla knowledge network. This will ensure the UGA remains fully accessible and exploitable by users, enabling other projects to contribute to / further develop / or otherwise improve the product into the future.
