The Forum INTERLACE of the city of Granollers did its second meeting on the 11th of November in Can Jonch, a centre of culture for peace of the municipality.
The meeting was attended by 20 people belonging to different stakeholder groups, such as representatives of neighbourhood organisations, schools, organic food cooperatives, environmental foundations and organisations, ecologists, regional environmental institutions and municipal technicians.
At the beginning, a representative from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB) gave a brief introduction about the current stage of the project and technicians from the City Council of Granollers presented the actions and NbS interventions currently being developed or planned to be developed in the city. These actions and interventions resulted from a prioritisation process where stakeholders from the Forum voted which of the proposals made during the 1st Forum INTERLACE they preferred.
In the last part of the meeting, participants discussed in couples the actions and interventions presented regarding 1) who they think are the relevant actors to be involved in these actions/interventions; 2) how the actions/interventions can be reframed to incorporate other city challenges to be worked on; and 3) what elements could be incorporated that would improve actions / interventions at the socio-environmental level.
