Website Nature-In Research Project
Area characterisation:

The aim of my research is to illuminate/enrich our understanding of architectural biophilic design and stimulate the intersectoral debate and interest in Nature-inclusive architectural interior design.

Objective:

As the PI of NATURE-IN, I am developing an innovative independent research project “New Sustainable Nature-Inclusive Architectural Devices for the Transformation of our Interior Dwelling Space: through Selected Case Studies”, supported by the European Commission within the programme H2020 Excellent Science- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.  This is an interdisciplinary research project that unfolds and analyses the underlying forms of knowledge behind exemplary buildings which stand out for their interior space connection to Nature, to inform us of a sustainable contemporary interior design practice.

Potential impacts/benefits:

The objective is not only to yield insights, but to phase biophilic design into the built environment. The main aim is to effectively enhance the health and wellbeing of communities through daily interaction with Nature in urban areas of the future.

NBS benefits
  • Increase awareness of NBS solution & their effectiveness and co benefits
  • Increase social interaction
