Upcoming Events
December 2024
- UNCCD 16th session of the Conference of the Parties
Dates: 2-13 December; Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of UNCCD, COP16 will be the largest UN land conference to date, and the first UNCCD COP held in the Middle East and North Africa region, which knows first-hand the impacts of desertification, land degradation and drought. The participation to the sessions of the UNCCD COP and its subsidiary bodies is by invitation only.
Winter 2025
- NetworkNature Science-Policy Event
Date: 15 February (to be confirmed); Location: Brussels
ICLEI Europe and IEEP are organising an in person science-policy event on urban transformation with a special focus on water resilience. The event will draw on the work of key Horizon projects to see how cities can mobilise EU funding for deploying NbS (notably via Cohesion Policy) and utilise Urban Nature Plans to integrate NbS into urban planning to enhance their Water Resilience Strategy. - NBS EduCommunity workshop

NBS EduWORLD is holding its final NBS EduCommunity workshop. Engage with local government representatives, educators, and experts from across Europe to co-create innovative ideas and test the Youth Inclusion Toolkit developed by NBS EduWORLD. Agenda and registration will be available soon.
Spring 2025
- Cities Mission Conference 2025
Date: 6-8 May 2025; Loation: Vilnius, Lithuania
the EU Green Capital 2025 will welcome invitation-only attendees to the event. Organised by the European Commission and the Mission Platform, the conference will bring together political representatives and practitioners from the 112 Mission Cities to celebrate the Mission’s considerable progress after three years.
