"Fem un Jardí" is a cooperation instrument that seeks the improvement of a park, garden or periurban forest area where a school is involved based on the institutional initiative of various departments of the city council. This instrument is innovative in that it promotes the active and effective involvement of the school community in the process of creating or improving a green space in the city near their school. In the first phase, students design a project with the support of municipal technicians and politicians. Subsequently, the work is carried out with a joint monitoring of the results. Finally, a public presentation is made with an institutional act of the school and local authorities. The scope of action has been urban parks near a school, but currently this program is also being promoted in peri-urban forests. This cooperative instrument is a planning implementation tool that follows the guidelines of the Granollers Green Spaces Master Plan and the local Natural Heritage Plan.
